Day 5 - Celebration / Maths Challenge

It’s time to start you engines again! Test your driving skills against the other teams at summer school, and hopefully win a ‘Challenge Trophy’! Then after lunch its the Celebration, and time to show off all the work you have done at summer school!!!

Day 4 - Creative Writing Day!

This a Creative Writing Day! Students will create two different poems using all five senses. There will be time in the afternoon to use the brand new state-of-the-art computer facilities to present your poems both as a booklet and a slide show.

Day 3 - Maths Challenge / Sports Afternoon

Start your engines! Today you will be planning and designing a formula 1 racing car, that you will be racing against other teams on Friday.

After lunch it’s Sports Afternoon with a choice of lot’s of different sports and activities! Including the climbing wall!

Day 2 - Circus Skills Day

Today is Circus Skills Day with the Shooting Stars!!! Circus skills can enable pupils to discover within themselves the skills which can provide all kinds of creative solutions.

Skills such as concentration, retention, conceptual understanding and self-awareness, which can be transferred to a social setting and applied to more conventional learning situations in the core subjects.

Day 1 - Sweet Science

Why does chocolate melt in your mouth? Why does corn pop and Space Dust crackle? What makes some sweets sweet and some sharp to the taste? Why are marshmallows so fluffy? Test your tongue - molecules and flavours. Do experiments to find the answers to these and many more questions; and maybe you can eat the results! Chocolate - the feel good factor. A day packed with activities to make your mouth water.
